A Kilmarnock company making some of the world’s best cables for hi-fis and the audio-visual industry had a visit from Brian Whittle MSP.
The South Scotland MSP visited the headquarters of Atlas Cables, who design and manufacture state of the art cables for consumers who demand the highest possible audio quality.
During his visit, Brian met with Managing Director Kevin Kelly and was given a tour of the company’s production and distribution facilities. Every cable is hand made using top quality materials to deliver the best possible quality.
The company sells to clients around the world, ranging from major international distributors to wealthy individuals who are willing to spend sometimes thousands of pounds to get the best sound from their home hi-fi. Atlas build every cable to order and can even wrap them in leather if someone’s looking to make a bit of a statement with their stereo!
Brian Whittle MSP said:
“Atlas is another great example of an Ayrshire business making a top quality product that’s in demand around the world.
As someone who enjoys listening and playing a bit of rock music now and then, I know the difference a good set of cables can make to the sound you get.
For musicians and other people who demand the best of everything when it comes to their sounds, quality is everything so it’s great to see how much attention to detail Atlas put into making their products.”
Comment from Atlas Cables:
“During this time of national and international uncertainty it’s important that politicians take time to visit local manufacturers to understand their true needs. Empowered with this knowledge it is hoped that business support can be better tailored to protect and develop the local workforce here in Kilmarnock.”
