Local MSP Brian Whittle will be hitting the road next week on a Summer Surgery Tour across the Kilmarnock & Irvine Valley and Clydesdale constituencies.
The South Scotland MSP will start the week in Galston at 10am on the 31st of July before visiting over 20 other locations across the two constituencies, including an outdoor surgery at The Corner in Darvel, before wrapping up the tour on Saturday with a 10am session at Kilmarnock ASDA.
When the Scottish Parliament is sitting in Edinburgh, Brian normally holds surgeries in South Scotland on a Monday. Now, with the parliament in recess for the summer, Brian’s taking the chance to mix things up, visiting some new venues on different days.

“I’m looking forward to my Summer Surgery Tour next week. I always enjoy travelling around South Scotland and surgeries are a great opportunity to meet and chat to people.
Since the pandemic, more and more constituents have been contacting me by phone and e-mail to ask for my help or advice, but I still find face-to-face meetings really useful. I’m also trying out some new surgery venues including Kilmarnock ASDA and The Corner in Darvel, which will be an open-air surgery so I hope the weather’s kind!
The full list of surgeries is on my website,https://www.brianwhittle.org.uk/surgeries-0 and I’d encourage anyone who’d like to speak to me about an issue or who is looking for some advice about a problem to come along to one near them.
You can also always get in touch with me by phoning 0131 3485623 or e-mailing [email protected].”
